I have a few guitar cables I would like shorten . Wondering if any of you have any recommendations . Don't need anything elaborate , just dependable and not outrageously priced . Thanks for info you can provide .

Switchcraft or GLS are good choices for plugs; I've used both. A couple of either will make a long cord into two shorter ones

My absolute favorite •is• more spendy though. It does add usable value to the cable I installed it on.
Straight? 90°? Both
The Pivot-all pivoting plug.

Loop them until they are the right length, then zip-tie the loop (about $2 at Walmart)
I prefer Velcro for the flexibility.

I've been known to make my own "one-wrap" by using a hot nail to melt a hole for a zip tie so the Velcro stays on the cord.

Amphenol for me, the best I've found.

$13 for a straight plug? 🤔 Now I don't feel so bad about the Pivot-all.
The Powerall Plugs show out of stock at the moment.
On that site - which is where I found them initially. A quick search (on Bing even) yielded:

Imagine if I had Googled it instead.

Thanks to all who have contributed so far @Raiyn , @BGood , @grinwer . Need to get some pure tone jacks and trying to nail down some connectors and hopefully not have to order from 2 or 3 different places ( different places , but one order ) .

There is that.

Excellent choice on the Pure Tones by the way.

Yes,

- Neutrik
- Amphenol
- Switchcraft

These are the brands of Jack and RCA/Cinch Connectors that I use, and found to be reliable with the years passing by.

But it's me, OK ? :D

Honestly, it’s easier and cheaper to shorten them with a zip tie or Velcro as suggested, or just buy the length of cable you want.

Unless you’re into the DYI thing, in which case, you’ve received those suggestions too.

Done the wrapping/coiling for years . I am a DIY'er . I'd rather spend $ 30 on connectors , than $50 + on new cables and still have a 100 foot of cable I don't use . I have 5 dogs and 3 cats and at some point one or more of them will get tangled up and undo everything . :D

There was a scientific report out several years ago that showed that cables, ropes, etc., naturally want to tangle. Like fishing line.

I hear you. We have a kitten right now and he walks everywhere I don’t want him to. Usually at 2 AM.
