I've been following the headlines and it seems to be a nice mess.

Here's what I don't get. If my business required me to travel to many countries, I would damn sure get the vaccine so that I would be complaint with as many immigration policies as possible. Why doesn't the CEO of Djokovic Inc/Ltd/GmBH do the same thing?

Because rich folks don't need to follow plebian laws.

I returned to the gig I keep to pay for health insurance after my rather extensive vacation to discover two folks had been "future endeavored" and two more were on the C19 list. I don't like to speak ill of folks in general, but I will say that the two that were let go / left weren't the sharpest crayons in the box. Coincidentally, there's a new vaccination / testing policy that went into effect as of Monday. I shouldn't have to draw any maps from there.

Melbourne is adopting the emergency attitude of “Code Brown” today. That hasn’t been invoked for 100 years. That means that for 6 major hospitals, staff may need to cancel leave, be recalled or be redeployed where they are needed most. All minor cases or non essential cases are deferred. No elective surgery for an undetermined period either.

This is brought about by the unprecedented case load with us hitting peak Covid here.

Crikey!

My best friend is recovering from the crud. He's vaxxed thankfully and only felt like crap for a couple days. He's doing the right thing and finishing up his quarantine.
Yeah plenty of that going on here too. Gael is going in shopping for one of her mates this morning. She’s isolated with a crook husband. Just going to leave it by the door.

I told him that if he needs anything to just ask. He's pretty stubborn (part of why we get on) so I know he won't abuse the offer, but nevertheless it stands.

By this weekend most Covid restrictions will be off here in Victoria. There will be a few places where the mask requirement will remain like on public transport but that’s just common sense.

It feels like ages since things were normal here and hopefully it will be again soon.

I hope that you are all heading in the same direction.

Well, all mandates have been ruled against the will of God and the Founding Fathers in Tennessee, but the smart folks still mask up in large spaces, like the grocery. My hooch monger has reinstalled the hand sanitizer station, and I cheerfully get a squirt when I walk in. Am I tired of it all? Hell, yeah. Am I lucky I haven’t gotten it? See above. I’ve been exposed two or three times, but didn’t get it, so I’m thinking the shots work, masking works, and anecdotal evidence seems to suggest regular cannabis use helps to fend off the evil virus. Or so I’ve read.😏

Let's hope it gets no worse than that.

I hope so aswell. I'll find out soon enough. What i heard from people that got it in the last half year it's not as bad as the variant in the beginning.
So far i feel absolutely fine except for the runny nose.
It seems to run rampant at my work lately. Most likely where i contracted it.

On the plus side, i don't have to get out in the cold for the next few days.
