Hello guys, I'm new here, I didn't know this forum so this is my first post. The thing is that long time ago I bought an Epi Riviera without serial number on it, I had my doubts but I checked it and I didn't find anything that said "I'm a Chinese copy" and it also sounded (and still sounds) great! I Made some research and a found some info that tells me that was probably made in Korea but I don't know the year and the fabric. Here are some specs and pictures of my guitar:
- Nut width: 1 9/16 (40mm)
- Bridge brand: Jin Ah
- Pickups: Humbuckers (not mini)
- Pickups readings: Neck 8,9k - Bridge: 9k (probably the same)
- One piece mahogany neck (not scarf joint)
- Some kind a long tenon with traces of glue, perhaps repaired? (see photos)
- Tailpiece: Frequensator
The neck has a decal on the back that says "GuitarVillage", I googled them and found a small musical instrument sales and repair shop in Germany, I contacted them and they told me that guitar had definitely was on their shop but they didn't have a record.
Today is my main guitar. I replaced the bridge by a Faber one, the electronics (CTS, PIO caps and shielded wire) and the neck pickup because it was too beefy.
