Today is a day where the highest level of threat has been forecast..”Catastrophic" conditions that level is called!

Extremely high temperatures and strong winds, most places have been nominated as day of “Total Fire Ban”. No flame outside and no machinery that might have hot exhausts ot create sparks!

Guess we will stay inside today.

I must say that in light of previous experience we find days like this extremely unsettling.

Based on the fact I read two contradictory weather forecasts half an hour apart I'd say our weather is changeable?

16°/-9° when I got up, but it’s rocketed to a balmy 26°/-3° at present. Sunny and looking for a high of 39°/4°, but I’m only going outside later for a pharmacy and wine run, which when one considers it, is sort of the same thing.

It's supposed to hit the mid 50s today under sunny skies but when I woke up to it being just 22F at 8:00 AM it had some serious convincing to do.

Right this second, it's 50°F in the Armpit, a bit more than twice as warm as it currently is in Valhalla.

I'm not a pastels guy, or a morning person*, but I've always liked sunrise, especially up north.

* I'm quite personable if I'm on a swing shift schedule or later even in the "morning" of the shift, but actual mornings it's best to let me run through my "diagnostics" before expecting much more than a nod and a grunt.
