Fixed that for you.
I never said I was from there, that's just local media market - and for most folks the only easily identifiable city in the area . I grew up closer to the BWCA than the Twin Ports up in the Superior National Forest

The rest, however is spot on. If I were finally able to move back, it'd likely be Duluth adjacent, but not the WI side.

I stand corrected. Accuracy is also part of our scoring. I know that and do wish to do well on this.

And why not the WI side. We both know Superior is well......Superior.
😉

Used to be, that the only reason anybody'd cross the Blatnik or Bong Bridge was because WI held on to the 18 year old drinking age longer than MN.
Ah, then you remember those good old days too eh. As I recall getting beer was never much of an issue in WI. We lived in a rural area surrounded by lakes one of which, the largest, we lived on.

There were a dozen or more local beer bars strung out along the county roads we could usually get into without being carded or we managed to either get a fake ID or some would just use an older brothers.....LOL.

To a degree it may have been too easy but I have fond memories or some outrageous beer parties and skinny dipping in the lake off a "party barge" (pontoon boat) one of our groups family owned.

I would not trade those memories off for love or money......

Whenever I pass through certain areas of my hometown I have fond memories of similar parties. I grew up close to the orange groves in Riverside CA, and it wasn't uncommon to find keg parties in those orange groves. Under the stars with no lights other than car headlights and bic lighters. Cell phones weren't common yet, the few that were around had that peasoup green light.

Epi Zephyr Regent. No serial number on label. Serial number only at the back of the headstock. The number 1231 seems not normal. The humbucker is Epiphone brand. Please let me know your thoughts

Hi all,

I'd like a bit of help here. I bought an Epiphone Les Paul Custom 2009 from ebay. Got the guitar yesterday, safe and sound, however once I opened the neck cavity I started getting doubts about it being authentic. Since then I noticed the headstock binding is wrong, the tail piece bolts are wrong, the pick guard screw is wrong. Can someone verify for me that either I have a fake on my hands or that I am being a eegit and that it is actually genuine? Thanks!

Thanks for the reply. It's going back, I'm glad you backed my understanding there. I never realised there would be a fake epiphone really. As soon as I got it I thought something was off but didn't know what to look for. But when I seen the neck pickup cavity, I mean, I've never seen anything like it...

If you bought it from a store, maybe share that info with Gibson ? It might spare someone else paying good money for a fake.

Thanks folks for the replies and welcome. I have seen the photos etc I just wanted a 2nd opinion on it as some things stacked up ok and some didn't. Such as the controls are aligned pretty ok and the tuners don't have that stupid, HUGE, washer on them.

I bought it from Ebay, seller has agreed a return and refund so it should get sorted. Sounds like he was unaware what he has but admits that something is off for sure.
