Looks good!

I would say it's a Standard, but I'm no expert.

Making a list of upgrades / replacements . Most likely going to stay with black hardware .

1. Black Tusq XL Nut .
2. Black Grover or Graphtech Locking Tuners .
3. Tone Pros or Faber bridge/ tailpiece set .
4. Would prefer Black covered pups ...... Anybody know of any ? SD Slash is only one I know of . Passive !
5. Pots , switch & Caps - Likely 50's wiring - Like to do series/parallel but be dependent on pups I get /find .
6. Don't want to paint , but would like to tint binding . Any suggestions on how to ?
7. Strap buttons ......since it has none .
8. Paint chips/scuffs ........ pbbbt ...... adds character .

Any other suggestions / ideas welcome !

Sounds like a lot of fun!!!!

Black covered pickups options:
- EMGs!!!
- SD blackouts
- SD custom request
- Anything DiMarzio (black cover is an option)
- Anything Bare Knuckle
- get black covers off Amazon (both plastic and metal ones are readily available)

Tinting the binding without paint is going to be hard because of the edge of binding exposed from the top. Tape might work, but it's going to be even harder to get right than masking/painting (I.e. to have just enough curve over the edge and also maintain the shape around the whole body in one strip).

Maybe try coloring it in with a water based marker or dry erase marker first and see if you like the effect?

I was just recently reading about a translucent paint for RC car windows to give them a " tinted look " , I may get some and bust out my airbrush and shoot a small spot . Body is already black , so a little overspray probably won't be very noticeable . There are a few chips in the paint in various places right where body and binding meet , so hope to kill 2 birds with one stone .

Nice! if you're going to paint then transparent black would do the job. If you can get lacquer (instead of acrylic or the type for lexan bodies), those adhere best if you scuff up the work area with 400-600 grit then use a 0.3mm to slowly go around. Cures very fast too
