Yes thoroughbreds come with lots of problems but she wants one particular breed of horse for doing dressage, The horse they went to see yesterday fits the bill perfectly but she's arranging to have a horse medical/x-rays done on it next week before she parts with her dosh.

Missus says it's enormous & is only eighteen months old.

Yeah these medical problems are becoming a PITA at present, I never visited my doctor all my working life as apart from a dodgy back I was fine.

I've got the first appointment in the morning which means a real early start to get through the heavy commuter traffic to get there on time. I'd go on the bus but the nearest bus stop to the hospital is just too far for me to walk.
A TURP procedure was mentioned if I cant empty my bladder & I really don't want to have that done if I can help it I'd rather tough it out til the end of the radiotherapy sessions, It's unpleasant to say the least so I'll see what they say tomorrow.

When you mention a Beatles Tribute act I have to explore. These guys are terrific. No hokey we need to look like them, dress like them, and play the exact same instruments. Just honor their music without all of the theatrical shtick. Here's one sample of a George Harrison tune.

Gahh those dress up acts give me a serious case of the "nopes". I'm perfectly good with a well-executed specialty cover band, but when the dead guy cosplay starts, I'm out.

In a similar vein, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't go see a show with the surviving members of <insert band> with a hologram of the original (deceased) lead singer.

My veggie frames are going ballistic! We’re going to have more tomatoes than we can ever use soon. I need to cut back some of the bigger plants again as they are taking over. Bit of warmth and a bit of rain and it’s all happening!

My veggie frames are going ballistic! We’re going to have more tomatoes than we can ever use soon. I need to cut back some of the bigger plants again as they are taking over. Bit of warmth and a bit of rain and it’s all happening!

Very slow germination of flower-herb seeds yet or at all after a few weeks, I'm not bothering to sow the warmth loving plants (tomatoes-peppers etc) until around March time, Still too cold for them but I will keep trying to get an head start if the temps get a bit warmer.

God what a night! The condenser boiler let go last night & flooded the airing cupboard where it lives, soaked all the clothes in there & the bedroom carpet, Fuses blown. Got the water & gas turned off in the thing. It's been problematic since it was installed new around six years ago, the first day it failed when it was fitted by the potterton engineers & needed new parts & circuit board straight out of the factory, I should have told them then that I didn't want it repaired & want a new replacement unit.

It'll have to wait to get a replacement one as too many other things have spoken for my dosh. The washing machine is on the blink & needs a good Fonz kick up the cyber pass to get it to work I've told the ladies to find their thermal underwear.....which didn't go down too well

The heartbreak of them either not amounting to anything or worse, going to pluck a gorgeous example only to find the backside all eaten up by squirrels, raccoons, rats, and whatever else this urban jungle can support.

Off to my last - hopefully - PT session this morning. A few days shy of seven months and I’m mostly fully recovered from the hip replacement and the back demanding some attention for itself.

The heartbreak of them either not amounting to anything or worse, going to pluck a gorgeous example only to find the backside all eaten up by squirrels, raccoons, rats, and whatever else this urban jungle can support.

If they don’t get them Rainbow Lorikeets can descend enmasse and pick apples or stone fruit to pieces spoiling the attraction for us eating them. I have to fully net and net early, soon after the fruit start to form. Even then the Cockies can rip the expensive nets to shreds and the parrots find a way in and get ‘em anyway. Anything on the ground is eaten by Rabbits, Foxes used to get my Chooks and Snakes and Lizards would sometimes get the eggs. Birds would get in and eat the chook food. Comorants are eating the fish I put in the dam just last year.

Sometimes I feel like I”m fighting a losing battle! However the corrugated metal veggie frames are tuning out a winner and things so far are only being effected by slugs and snails but bait in there seems to sort them out. Will the birds get into the tomatoes when a few of them get ripe is the burning question? I can net them is they are getting eaten.

Bottom line is that its hard to beat nature!

Tomorrow is a day of rest. A just reward for being put on a 8 hour day which is actually 9 hours and then some since I never seem to be wrapped up by 4:45 PM. Today is was 5:15. Yesterday 5:05.

Changed to a longer route to get to the hospital yesterday because of roadworks & long wait times to get through them & was gobsmacked to see CAZ (clean air zones) signage up just a mile from me
It wont impact me though as I've got an electric car.

These things are springing up right around the country & check this out, They're extending the ULEZ (ultra low emission zone) around London in August which is a huge area.
This guy has a Chrysler 300 which isn't emission compliant & every time he backs it off his driveway onto the road it will cost him £12.50-$15.40-AUD21.84-CAD20.74-€14.19 in daily fees.

Damn, now there's an idea. Of course it would never fly here in the land of "you can have my gun when you pry it from my cold dead hands".

It seems in this land of ours inhabited as it is by many very spoiled entitled folks who have never read our Constitution but are 100% certain they know it all heart, we can only take something away if we provide something more grandiose as a substitute.

I've submitted a suggestion to offer one surplus military tank and a rusty grenade launcher for every 3 AR-15s turned in for exchange. There's no ammo for the tank or grenade launcher obviously but most people just own guns so they can show them off anyway.

Just think of the pride of having a WWII tank parked in your yard?

OK thats a good idea, I’ll get you to talk to a nice big Tiger Snake first and see how you go. I’d get you to talk some sense into the cormorant that is camped on my dam eating all my fish but caution you that I’ll be able to use my PCP again next week as my just tested SCUBA tank should be back and I can fill it. MIght be best to wear a ballistic vest!! Nice of you to offer and there will be a bed and a feed for you. (hospital bed?)
